Yes, it is possible. The PSA Series supports PWM current measurement and automatically outputs measured values as CAN data with update rates as fast as 1 ms. Complex current fluctuations in applications like automotive ECU control evaluation or industrial hydraulic control can be easily acquired as noise-resistant digital data.

How much power loss is caused by the instrument during battery charge/discharge measurement?

The high-current models (±10 A, ±5 A, ±2 A) utilize a shunt resistor with a resistance of only 40 mΩ. By significantly reducing resistance loss, high-precision measurement is achieved with minimal impact on the load itself during precise battery charge/discharge characteristic evaluations and discharge tests.

Can this series cover everything from minute leakage currents to high currents?

The PSA Series features a remarkably versatile range of measurement scales. You can select the optimal model according to your application, ranging from minute dark and leakage current measurements like ±100 µA or ±200 µA, to direct measurement up to ±10 A, as well as 4–20 mA instrument inputs. Simultaneous CAN and 16-bit analog output options are also supported.

Is there a convenient way to bring the converter to the field and log current data easily?

It comes standard with a front-panel USB Type-C port, allowing easy CSV data logging via our free software 'LINKSHIP' while powered from a PC or tablet.
